The Baldor-Reliance® RPM AC cooling tower direct drive motor (CTDD) eliminates these problems by coupling the motor to the fan and controlling it with a unique drive.

ABB's IE5+ inverter-integrated motor EC Titanium™ is an ultra-efficient motor with a maximum efficiency of IE5 or higher according to IEC efficiency standards.
The ultra-high efficiency is achieved by a rotor structure that combines synchronous reluctance and permanent magnet technology.
This motor series in particular achieves high efficiency and high torque, which is considered difficult to achieve with small motors.
Although permanent magnets are used, they are rare earth-free, so they are environmentally friendly and there is no risk of supply insecurity.
The output range is 0.75kW~11kW and the integrated inverter eliminates the need for an inverter panel and reduces wiring man-hours.
Inverters can easily be converted to inverters in environments where it is difficult to install inverters, which would have been given up in the past.

Launched in 2011, ABB's Synchronous Reluctance Motor SynRM has a reliable and proven track record.
Already in production for more than 10 years, with a wide range of small to large variants in mass production for general purpose applications
The technology has been matured and innovated, and in 2023 the world's first safety-enhanced, explosion-proof, water-cooled IE5 SynRM will be launched.
This enables the study of higher efficiency in environments that could not be studied in the past.
In particular, the water-cooled version does not require a fan cooling function, thus preventing wind noise and dust dispersion and creating a comfortable on-site environment.
Furthermore, in June last year, we achieved an ultra-high efficiency equivalent to IE6.
