  • Target Sector (English)

    All customers using cooling towers.

    Main industries
    Chemical plants
Refined oil and material refining plants
    Material processing plants
    Steel plants
    Thermal power plants
    Biomass power plants
    Geothermal power plants
    Hotels and commercial facilities

Customers considering energy savings, e.g. plants and power generation facilities using medium- or large-sized cooling towers.

They are also used in cooling towers in hotels and commercial facilities in urban areas, as they also contribute to noise reduction.

Particularly common are customers dealing with steel and chemical-related materials, as well as consumers using large cooling towers in power generation plants such as biomass and geothermal power stations, who are constantly striving to improve energy efficiency and maintainability, so this product solves those problems.

CTDD not only saves energy, but also contributes to reduced maintenance.

For customers who regularly need man-hours to change belts, lubricate speed reducers, etc., the CTDD can be expected to significantly reduce man-hours because that work is almost eliminated.

  • Use Scenes (English)

Cooling towers are used in all industries worldwide.

Specifically, they are required to cool circulating air and water in factories and facilities.

With conventional systems, maintenance and breakdowns of the gearbox and associated components are often a problem.

The Baldor-Reliance® RPM AC cooling tower direct drive motor (CTDD) eliminates these problems by coupling the motor to the fan and controlling it with a unique drive.

  • Sales point (English)

This means that transmission equipment such as gearboxes and belts between the motor and the cooling tower wings are not required.

This design significantly reduces the need for maintenance and regular servicing of the coupling equipment.

By using a gearbox, the speed of the motor can be reduced and a higher torque can be achieved.

With normal general-purpose motors, it is difficult to achieve high torque at low speeds and even if theoretically designed, the motor would be very large.

CTDDs can produce high output in the low speed range while keeping their size down. This makes it possible to eliminate the need for reduction gears and belts.

Size / capacity (English) Output: 7.5 kw ~ 225 kw.

Rotational speed: 100rpm ~ 500rpm
