Aperam's Electrical steels which we consistently introduce, use charcoal as a substitute for fossil fuels used in the manufacturing process of steel.
The charcoal is made from eucalyptus trees grown in the 126,000 hectares of FSC-Forest Stewardship Council, Brazil (about 1.5 times the size of Hokkaido),
which are owned by the Aperam Group.
