ONLINE PD MONITORING SYSTEM by UK-based IPEC (Partial Discharge Monitoring System)
The Online PD Monitoring System by IPEC enables the detection of partial discharge without halting operations in power plants, switchgear, cables, and other locations where regular or periodic inspections cannot confirm equipment integrity. Depending on the application and purpose, portable tools such as the PD SG-1 and PD Detector Pro, as well as permanent units like the ASM system and various sensors, are used. These tools employ IPEC’s proprietary PD analysis algorithm to monitor PD in MV, HV, and EHV equipment and analyze conditions.
Continuous monitoring of PD in various electrical installations serves as predictive maintenance, preventing major accidents before they occur—a practice that has already become standard (and mandatory) in Europe and the United States. The shift from TBM (Time-Based Maintenance) to CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) aligns with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry's recommendation for smart maintenance.
We invite you to visit our booth to learn more about IPEC's PD Online Monitoring System products and services and ask any questions you may have.
Exhibited products (English) | 【ASM Online Partial Discharge Monitoring System】 The ASM Online Partial Discharge Monitoring System is ideal for monitoring critical electrical facility using partial discharge sensors. Additionally, ASM's DeCIFer™ algorithm processes the data and displays the results on the customer's operation screen. 【PD Detector Pro】 The PD Detector Pro is a handy tool for efficiently detecting Partial Discharge (PD) in high-voltage equipment. It is compatible with a variety of sensors, allowing easy identification of PD across multiple installations. 【HFCT Sensor】 The HFCT sensor is designed to detect PD from cables. By installing HFCT on the grounding sheath within a substation, it specializes in monitoring the entire cable route. 【CC-TEV Sensor】 Partial discharge within high-voltage switchgear induces small transient earth voltage impulses on the surface of the panel. These impulses travel along the exterior casing of the switchgear, allowing the TEV sensor to detect them. 【UHF Sensor】 IPEC’s UHF (Ultra High Frequency) sensor is used to detect PD at EHV cable terminations and in gas-insulated switchgear. |
