Introduction to the Ion Exchange Resin Method: A Reaction–Separation Technology for Upcycling Unused Oil Resources

The ion exchange resin method is an innovative reaction–separation technology that enables the upcycling of unused oil resources. In this process, oil components are converted into fatty acid esters, while functional compounds such as vitamin E are selectively adsorbed and separated, allowing for high-purity purification.

Because the chemical reaction and separation occur simultaneously, this method contributes to CO₂ reduction, increased yield, and cost savings.
