About FB-6 “Whole-Home Heating & Cooling”
FB-6 is Hokushin House’s patented method: a whole-home system that regulates temperature through radiant heating and cooling from six surfaces—the floor, four walls, and ceiling. Unlike conventional air conditioning, it offers comfort without drafts, noise, or uneven temperatures, creating a natural sense of warmth in winter and coolness in summer.
At this exhibition, we present the “Air Conditioning Chamber,” the core of an FB-6 home. This model makes the system’s hidden principles and structure visible.
With this technology, one standard household air conditioner can keep a two-story home of about 100 m² (30 tsubo) at a stable, uniform temperature. FB-6 also prevents condensation from indoor–outdoor temperature gaps, helping protect the home’s durability.
Most importantly, it reduces health risks such as heat shock in winter bathrooms and heatstroke during hot summer nights.
